Georgetown- Savannah Goldfields (ASX: SVG)

Oroya was engaged to design, procure, build, man then operate a standalone laboratory in 2022 at the Georgetown Gold Project in Far North Queensland. Project award to commissioning only took two months involving the construction and placement of an onsite demountable building and sea containers, active engagement of third-party vendors in the procurement of analytical equipment and once onsite, their installation and commissioning.
During the lead up to commissioning, Oroya develop tailored procedures for the chosen laboratory equipment, inductions and safety systems all abiding to the Clients Safety Management Plan. The lab was built to service a 200 ktpa Gravity/CIL plant requiring solid, solution and carbon assays, moisture determination and mill feed and cyclone overflow sizing determination. Additionally, Grade Control samples were submitted, saving the Client the cost and delay of shipping them 750 km to Townsville for third party assay.

The Georgetown lab is fitted with a refurbished PAL-1000 and a new Centrifuge and is capable of processing approximately 100 RC grade control samples per day on top of plant samples. When requested by the Client, the laboratory is capable of 200 RC grade control samples per day with the engagement of a dedicated PAL technician. The PAL-1000 and Centrifuge is placed inside one sea container, with another sea container housing all sample preparation equipment, including a dust extractor.
Oroya invoices the Client a fixed and variable monthly fee and has a contractual period of four years.
The lab is successfully manned by a Lab Supervisor and Lab Technician with support provided from the Oroya management team either remotely or during site visits.
